Keep an eye out in your classrooms for bright blue & gold posters because Key Club is Hamilton’s newest club! Not only have we become an official club here at Hamilton, but we’ve also begun our chartering process with the Kiwanis Club of Menomonee Falls. They are part of our parent organization and will sponsor us in holding events and attending conventions—things you could get to be a part of if you join Key Club!
As we’ve done earlier this summer, Key Club will be actively recruiting throughout the school year. To any underclassmen (or upperclassmen too!) who are seeking a club that allows you to become a leader in your school and external community, we’d love to welcome you. Even if you are already participating in multiple clubs and activities, Key Club allows you to be flexible with the amount of commitment you’d like to make. Also, all of the executive board members are seniors and will need to be replaced next year, leaving room for underclassmen and juniors who join to take over. Attending meetings and contributing as a member will allow you to add Key Club on resumes, applications, and more as a school club or volunteer work. Kiwanis International's reputation for over 100 years and five different age-relative clubs make employers and admissions officers recognize that as a Key Club member, you truly have a passion for being a leader in your community.
We are excited to hold our first meeting of the school year on September 14th after school in Ms. Hinytz’s room (NA100). This meeting will be used to discuss our first event, which will be a brat fry on September 30th at the Sussex Piggly Wiggly. There may also be some special treats waiting at the meeting! We strongly encourage all interested members to attend this meeting, and if any interested members are unable to attend the meeting, our Remind code is shown below to become an official member and stay updated with Key Club events. To stay updated with all of our progress at both events and meetings, our Instagram page is now up and running as well: @hhs_.keyclub.
We hope to see many new faces on September 14th after school!
