Jasmine Wilson is a senior on Hamilton’s Soccer Team. She has been a major contributor to their successful seasons for the past four years and is excited to continue her athletic career after high school!
Riley Veenendaal, junior, says of Wilson, “Getting to play with Jasmine for the past two seasons has been incredibly fun! Jasmine is an incredible leader for this team, helping to lead our team to the sectional final, making school history. Jasmine is also the fastest and strongest player I have ever gotten to play with, and is able to serve the best corners and crosses. We will miss her so much next year!”

What school are you committed to? Why this school?
I am committed to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I chose Whitewater because it is close to home and will allow me to get a good education while continuing my athletic career.
What is your intended major?
I will be majoring in Cell Biology and Physiology with a minor in Chemistry.
What experiences do you feel that you’ve had, whether it be through Hamilton or through any other clubs, that you feel have prepared you for playing a sport in college?
Soccer has taught me more lessons than I can count. A lot of that comes from the environment that I have been surrounded by. Here at Hamilton, participating in the girls varsity program all four years has helped push me to become a positive leader and make the most out of the relationships I develop with the team because at the end of the day, being a team is what truly matters. I have also had many coaches who have played pivotal roles in my development as a player, pushing me out of my comfort zone to become better each day.
Who is your biggest inspiration in your sports endeavors or a person you would like to shout out and why?
My biggest inspirations are my parents. Since I started soccer, which was 14 years ago, they have been nothing but supportive of my career. With the countless hours of travel to games, practices, and tournaments, they always find a way to make soccer work for me. They have allowed me to make decisions about my career and support me every step of the way and along the way teaching me very important life lessons that aren't just related to being an athlete.
