Think Green: Club Action Recycling

In honor of the coming of spring, Club Action has started a little spring cleaning project that you can help with. They have initiated a collection through Terracycle, “A volunteer-based recycling platform to collect non-recyclable pre-consumer and post-consumer waste on behalf of corporate donors or municipalities to turn it into raw material to be used in new products.”

The plastic primarily being collected are the types that are typically not recycled (such as any brand of phone case and Pop-sockets).

Drop off bins are located in the IMC and in room S5.

Club Action stated, “The plastics get shipped, cleaned, and pelletized. All free on our end. Through this program we have the possibility to earn money for every pound collected, which gets donated to a non-profit of our choosing. Thank you for thinking of us!”
