Staff Member of the Month: Ms. Turnacliff

Congratulations to Sheri Turnacliff in the Comm Arts Dept. for being recognized at the Staff Member of the Month! Sheri dove into “everything Hamilton” this year as she has taken on the Yearbook and made some great relationships with kids as acknowledged by a couple of their statements below:

“I am nominating Ms. Turnacliff because I think she is the most thoughtful teacher that I have ever had. She genuinely cares for the success and learning of her students. She talks to her students like they are her friends and she makes learning fun. She always thinks of activities which keep her students engaged but also learning. I also notice that she checks up on all her students at least a couple times a week and she talks to them personally on how they are doing and how they can improve. I also think she has a personal connection with all her students because she shares what is happening for her in her life, and she also talks to a lot of her students individually on how they are doing in the rest of their classes, as well as other activities and things happening outside of school. And I think that is something that you can really appreciate if your teacher talks to you on a personal note. I also think she tries her best to keep everyone in class in check, and make sure that they are on task. Overall, I think she is one of the best teachers that I have ever had, and I wish I could have her for Com Arts again next year.”

“She has helped me through all of the things I’ve missed at school and is super supportive towards helping me catch up and understand things. She is super encouraging and has a great teaching style. She also actually seems to show that she cares about the students.”
