February Staff Member of the Month: PK

Congratulations to PK for being chosen, by students, as the Staff Member of the Month! One of my favorite things is reading the personalized messages that the kids write about all of you when they nominate. For example, this is what the students said about PK:

“I know PK has been going through a lot but she remains positive and helpful, and always puts in so much thought and effort for her students.”

“She constantly shows her care to each and every student. We all can feel her love and dedication from miles away. PK is a teacher I will never forget.”

“Although she has recently had to miss school days, she has ensured that it will not be a detriment to her classes education. We have been provided with resources for assistance even on her sick days. But while she is gone, she is missed. Her optimistic demeanor is such an integral element to our class time, it makes AP Statistics enjoyable even for those of us who don’t particularly favor the subject material. As she teaches, it is clear she has a passion for her work and a passion for statistics and education in general- her dedication to our class always aids students in their understanding of the course. And, she takes an interest in her students like I’ve truly never seen before. Somehow she manages to keep track of every students schedules no matter what activity, whether in school or out of school, and frequently checks in to ask how things are going. Her compassion is touching and personally makes me feel understood as not only a student, but an individual.”
