Congratulations to the four Hamilton High Schools who competed at SkillsUSA district-level competition at West Bend High School. The results are as follows:
Zach Francis – Gold, Job Skill Demo
Gavin Samanske – Gold, Welding
Mason Schomann – Silver, CNC 3-axis Milling
Jacob Winter – Silver, Technical Drafting
“It’s great to see our program showcased through what our students are accomplishing,” commented Hamilton High School Applied Engineering and Technology Teacher and SkillsUSA Advisor Alan Mamerow. “Three out of our four competitors have either never been to a SkillsUSA competition before, or were competing in a different contest than they had in previous years. For these students to try their hand at something new and see such success is a testament to what our teachers are doing and the motivation and excitement that these students exhibit.”
After this triumph on December 12th, Hamilton students are preparing for the SkillsUSA state competition, which is held in April at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Qualifiers at the state competition will compete in SkillsUSA Nationals in June. Good luck Hamilton!
