What are your future plans in basketball?
For basketball, I plan to take my game to the highest level possible. I’ll try to play basketball as long as possible because I enjoy it.
How have you improved your game in the past year?
Over the years, I believe I've improved at preserving my body. Post-game, I would stretch and ice, and pre-game, I would stretch and get taped if necessary.
Who’s your favorite basketball player, currently or all-time?
My favorite basketball player currently is either Jayson Tatum from the Celtics or Zach Lavine from the Bulls.
What hobbies do you do outside of school?
Outside of school, I keep myself busy with art and hunting down trading cards.
How have you been spending your quarantine?
A lot of my energy during quarantine has gone towards staying in basketball shape. AAU season would have already started, so it's important to prepare for AAU as if it were right around the corner.
What’s your warm up routine?
I really don't have a warm up routine. When I take the court, I'll always take a few shots to get comfortable but never in any specific order.
Why do you continue to play this sport?
I continue to play because basketball is something I enjoy. I play because I like competition, and that drives me to work towards being one of the best to ever play.
What would be your ultimate achievement for this sport, ever?
The Hall of Fame is a long-term goal that I've set. While it is an extreme goal, I believe it is obtainable through hard work.
What’s your funniest memory from this season?
Maybe not the funniest, however when our manager (Iso Mo) came in and hit a three pointer, the crowd was electric and some of the teammates carried him off the court.
What advice do you have for younger athletes playing your sport?
For any young athletes, I'd say find what you're passionate about and work at your craft everyday. If you truly love your sport, you will never get tired of improving.
