How Are the 2023-2024 Chargers Doing?

Hamilton High School stands out as an athletic powerhouse, boasting various sports including football, track, swimming, golf, and more. These sports contribute significantly to our school’s status and athletic accomplishments. However, it’s the Chargers Basketball Team that has truly carved a niche for itself, showcasing exceptional talent and achieving remarkable success.
Basketball, known for its rigorous demands, has become a cornerstone of our school’s athletic identity. The relentless dedication displayed through constant practices, intense game days, and grueling conditioning sets our basketball program apart. Our boys, committed to excellence, work tirelessly to make a resounding statement for Hamilton High School, and without a doubt, they are exceeding expectations and leaving an indelible mark on our school’s athletic legacy.
How is the team, specifically, doing this year? The Hamilton Chargers are 14-5 and 6-5 in the conference with losses to Marquette, Germantown, Wauwatosa West, and Central. The Chargers continue to strive in the right direction with a promising rest of the season.
Individual (Important) Statistics
Points Per Game
Aidan Konop (Class of 2024) has been having a lights-out season averaging an astounding 19.3 points per game. It is beyond clear that Konop has transformed his role into a leader by stepping up in pivotal moments when in need.
Andrew Eichmann (Class of 2024) is averaging 8.8 points per game and becoming more of an asset on the court while contributing on both ends of the court.
Cooper Grams (Class of 2024) is averaging 7.6 points per game. Cooper Grams has developed his game throughout his high school basketball career and is getting the chance to prove how useful he really can be on the court.
Field Goals
Asher Haas has the highest FG percentage with 48.7%. Asher is known for his shooting ability, slithering around defenders and getting a shot up fast and with ease.
Aidan Konop has an FG percentage of 45.8%. Konop can do it all; from getting an efficient stop on defense to executing the right play, his presence on the court can’t go unnoticed.
Charlie Blankenheim has an FG percentage of 42.9%. Throughout his high school career, Blankenheim has always played the role of a shooter and his performance cannot go unnoticed.
Free Throws
Cooper Grams has an astounding 93.8% FT percentage. His ability to make clutch free throws at the end of a game sets him apart from others.
Ryan Heckman makes the list at 75%, showing off his skill set potential on the court.
Bennett Barth is shooting 62.5% at the line along with his many capabilities on the court that align with his crucial role on the team.
The Chargers face tough competition in the upcoming season, playing teams such as Germantown, Wauwatosa West, and Central. With the intensity ramping up in the upcoming weeks, our boys must get all the support they can get. Therefore, make sure to attend all games to make the most out of the potential of our team!
