Thursday, October 17th
Broncos vs Saints
Achintya: (Broncos) Two rookie QBs are facing off with the injury of Derek Carr causing Spencer Rattler to be thrown into action as they take on the Broncos lead by Bo Nix. The Saints are a dynamic team but struggled heavily last week without Derek Carr and expect more of the same with the Broncos having one of the most stout defenses in the league. Expect a convincing win for the Broncos. (24-14)
Tirish: (Saints)In the upcoming matchup between the Broncos and Saints at the Caesars Superdome, New Orleans is shaping up to be the stronger team. With standout players like Alvin Kamara and a solid game plan, the Saints’ offense is expected to outshine Denver’s defense. While the Broncos have shown resilience, New Orleans’ home-field advantage and dynamic playmakers should help them edge out a 23-19 victory. It’ll be a tough fight, but the Saints are poised to take this one home.
Sunday, October 20th
Patriots vs Jaguars
Achintya: (Jaguars) Both the Patriots and Jaguars are wishing for this season to be already over and that should lead to a good game with both teams equally struggling and thus being a very even match. Look for Trevor Lawrence to regain some of the form from 2023-2024 season as the Jaguars beat the Patriots. (28-14)
Tirish: (Patriots) The Patriots and Jaguars are gearing up for a big clash in London, which adds an extra layer of excitement to this Week 7 showdown! Both teams are bringing their A-game, with the Patriots’ defense sharpening up and the Jaguars leaning on their dynamic offense. Expect a tough battle in the trenches, but with the Patriots getting back to basics on defense and slowing down the Jaguars' passing attack, they might have the slight edge in this one. In the end, look for the Patriots to squeak out a win in a tight and gritty game!
Lions vs Vikings
Achintya: (Lions) A tough division rivalry game between the Lions and the Vikings is upcoming in what should be a very close game with the Lions leading one of the most high-powered offenses and the Vikings having a tough defense as well. Normally they say defense wins championships but here that’s wrong with the Lions offense being too much for the Vikings defense. (35-24)
Tirish: (Vikings) Get ready for an NFC North showdown as the Detroit Lions take on the Minnesota Vikings! The Lions, riding high on their offensive surge, have been lighting up the scoreboard lately. However, the Vikings, with their opportunistic defense and home advantage, are ready to spoil the party. While Detroit’s defense has been solid, the loss of Aidan Hutchinson could tip the scales in Minnesota's favor. Expect a close battle, but the Vikings' combination of a rested team and strong defense will likely see them edge out the Lions.
Titans vs Bills
Achintya: (Bills) Josh Allen comes to town with a debut game for Amari Cooper in store as well in what should be a very high scoring game as the Bills look to pile on the points on the Titans. The Titans have struggled this year on both sides of the ball and look for this trend to continue as the Bills will be winning this game convincingly. (42-14)
Tirish: (Bills) The Buffalo Bills are set to take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday, and it looks like Buffalo is ready to defend their home turf. The Bills have been rolling this season, boasting a 4-2 record, compared to the struggling Titans at 1-4. Buffalo's offense, led by Josh Allen, has been explosive, scoring an average of 27.5 points per game. Meanwhile, Tennessee has had a tough time moving the ball, ranking near the bottom in both total yards and points per game. With Buffalo’s defense showing solid performances—allowing just 21 points per game—the Titans’ offense, despite flashes from Will Levis and Tony Pollard, may find it tough to break through. The Titans' defense, while strong against the pass, might not be able to keep pace with Allen and his receiving threats like Khalil Shakir. In the end, Buffalo’s balance on both sides of the ball should give them the edge. I predict a Bills victory with a final score around 24-17.
Dolphins vs Colts
Achintya: (Colts) The Dolphins are trying their best but it isn’t enough as the loss of QB Tua Tagovailoa is still hurting them greatly as their once feared passing attack has been tamed and as a result a heavy run game has been occuring now. However, a heavy rushing attack is the Colts forte so look for Johnthan Taylor and Anthony Richardson’s duo to be cooking! (35-23)
Tirish: (Dolphins) The upcoming game between the Dolphins and Colts promises to be a clash of interesting storylines. The Dolphins, led by their fast-paced offense, are up against the Colts, who have shown grit with rookie QB Anthony Richardson. Both teams have had ups and downs, but the Colts' home-field advantage at Lucas Oil Stadium could make the difference. However, the Dolphins' explosive playmakers might just push them ahead in the end. My pick: Dolphins come out on top in a close one.
Seahawks vs Falcons:
Achintya: (Falcons) Kirk Cousins has been leading a resurging offense for the Falcons in what should be a high scoring game versus Geno Smith and the Seahawks. Both teams offense are top notch with the defense being the weakness for both teams and look for that being the X factor as expect the Falcons with the superior defense to be the one to control more of the game letting Kirk Cousins go to work. (42-35)
Tirish: (Falcons) Get ready for an exciting NFC showdown! The Seattle Seahawks are heading to Atlanta to take on the Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Expect a close game, with both teams looking sharp on offense. While Geno Smith and DK Metcalf will likely make some big plays for the Seahawks, the Falcons’ running back Bijan Robinson is poised to be a game-changer. In the end, the Falcons have the edge at home and will likely win a tight contest, 26-24.
Texans vs Packers:
Achintya: (Packers) The Packers and Jordan Love have been balling out post his knee injury and looks like he’s back in form completely. The Texans have blown hot and cold with C.J Stroud in a sophomore slump look for the Packers defense to take advantage of it and give the Packers and Jordan Love lots of momentum. GO PACK GO! (28-13)
Tirish: (Packers) In the upcoming Texans-Packers showdown, both teams bring unique strengths to the field, but it's looking like the Packers have the upper hand. With their strong offense and home-field advantage at Lambeau, the Packers are likely to edge out the Texans in a tight contest. Expect C.J. Stroud and the Texans to put up a fight, but ultimately, Jordan Love and the Packers should take this one by a narrow margin. Final score prediction: Packers 25, Texans 22.
Bengals vs Browns:
Achintya: (Bengals) The Bengals lead by Joe Burrow and Jamarr Chase have been firing on all cylinders recently and should be able to handle the Browns convincingly as they are the superior team in all phases of the game. Can Nick Chubb come back fast enough as the Browns are in a dire need of a spark. (35-10)
Tirish: (Bengals) Get ready for an AFC North showdown between the Bengals and the Browns! The Bengals are coming into this game with some solid momentum, while the Browns are struggling to find consistency, having won only one of their last six. Joe Burrow’s connection with his receivers looks sharp, and the Browns' defense will have their hands full trying to keep up. Deshaun Watson and the Browns will fight, but Cincinnati’s firepower should carry them through. Bengals win this one in a hard-fought divisional clash.
Eagles vs Giants:
Achintya: (Eagles) A revenge game for Saquon Barkley. A guy who wanted to be a Giant for life was disrespected in contract negotiations and instead has become the villain and gone to the rivals in what should be a very good game for him and the rest of the Eagles. Daniel Jones and the Giants will try and put up a valiant fight but will come up short. (35-23)
Tirish: (Giants) The Eagles are flying high as they head to face the Giants, who are still struggling to find their groove at home. With Jalen Hurts leading the charge for Philadelphia and Daniel Jones battling it out for the Giants, it’s a matchup of two teams heading in different directions. The Eagles’ strong defense and consistent offense give them the edge, while the Giants' home woes might continue. Expect the Eagles to pull off a solid win and keep their NFC East momentum rolling.
Raiders vs Rams:
Achintya: (Rams) The Rams and Raiders have both been blowing hot and cold and have been plagued by injuries. However, the Rams are in the better state at this moment of the season and seem to have momentum going their way whereas the Raiders traded Davante Adams, their best player, to the Jets. Look for a low scoring affair but the Rams will come up on top. (37-22)
Tirish: (Rams) Get ready for a showdown in SoFi Stadium as the Las Vegas Raiders clash with the Los Angeles Rams! The Raiders are looking to bounce back after some tough losses, while the Rams hope to capitalize on their home advantage. With Matthew Stafford leading the charge for the Rams, expect some aerial fireworks! Meanwhile, the Raiders will rely on Aidan O'Connell to work his magic. Given the teams’ struggles this season, it’s a tight contest, but I’m giving the Rams the edge to sneak out a win in a thrilling match-up!
Panthers vs Commanders:
Achintya: (Commanders) The Panthers suck. There's no other way to put it and the Commanders are playing insane this year. They have never been producing at this high of level and expect it to continue against a weak Panthers team overall. A 400 yard scrimmage game for Jayden Daniels is in order as well as his stamp on the ROTY. (42-21)
Tirish: (Commanders) Get ready for a showdown as the Carolina Panthers take on the Washington Commanders this Sunday! The Panthers, struggling with a 1-5 record, are desperately seeking a spark to ignite their season. They’ve been facing defensive struggles, allowing over 30 points in their last three games, which is like leaving the front door wide open for any offense. On the flip side, the Commanders are riding high at 4-2, led by a powerful running game and a confident Jayden Daniels, who’s been a force behind center. Expect the Commanders to capitalize on the Panthers' defensive woes, making it tough for Carolina to keep pace.In this battle of the gridiron, I'm predicting a solid victory for the Commanders, with a final score of around 27-18. The Panthers might put up a fight, but it's hard to see them overcoming the odds in this one. So grab your snacks and settle in, because it's bound to be a wild ride!
Chiefs vs 49ers:
Achintya: (Chiefs) The Rematch of the Super Bowl is here! Both teams could not be any more different with the 49ers struggling with tons of injuries and the Chiefs sitting pretty with an undefeated record. Can Patrick Mahomes be defeated? Not yet as they should handle business and end up with the W. (35-24)
Tirish: (49ers) Get ready for a thrilling clash as the Kansas City Chiefs visit the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium! Both teams come into this matchup eager to showcase their explosive offenses, Patrick Mahomes is ready to light it up for the Chiefs, while Brock Purdy looks to bounce back after a recent setback. The 49ers are slight favorites, thanks to their home field and strong performance so far this season. I’m predicting a nail-biter, with the 49ers sneaking past the Chiefs for a narrow victory, perhaps 24-23. It’s going to be a classic, so don’t forget the popcorn!
Jets vs Steelers:
Achintya: (Jets) The fun new duo of Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers will be cooking up and should handle the Steelers convincingly. The Jets have a stout defense as well and look to be in good form after coming off a very competitive game against the Bills and Steelers might be having some turmoil at the QB spot. Look for a win for the new look Jets. (31-24)
Tirish: (Jets) Get ready for a showdown in the Steel City as the New York Jets take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday! With a win probability tipping slightly in favor of the Jets (61% to the Steelers' 39%), this matchup promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Jets will lean heavily on their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who’s been making waves since his trade. Meanwhile, the Steelers are hoping for a defensive boost with the potential return of linebacker Alex Highsmith, who could bring some much-needed energy back to their defense.
Expect a close game, with both teams hungry for a victory. The predicted score? Jets 20, Steelers 17. So, grab your popcorn and settle in, this is one game you won't want to miss!
Ravens vs Buccaneers:
Achintya: (Ravens) The Ravens led by Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry for sure are the best rushing duo in the league and that should continue against a weak Buccaneers defense. Baker Mayfield and his Bucs should be able to put up a good fight with his high powered offense but look for the game to be won on the legs of Lamar and Henry. (49-37)
Tirish: (Ravens) Get ready for a thrilling showdown as the Ravens take on the Buccaneers! With Lamar Jackson steering the Ravens’ ship and the recently acquired Derrick Henry flexing his muscles in the backfield, this offense is set to soar. Meanwhile, the Bucs, led by Baker Mayfield and a rejuvenated receiving corps, are itching to show they can hold their ground. The Ravens’ defense, although faced with some departures, will be looking to make a statement under new defensive coordinator Zach Orr. In this clash of the titans, I see the Ravens fluttering past the Bucs for the win!
Monday, October 21st
Chargers vs Cardinals:
Achintya: (Cardinals) The Cardinals led by Kyler Murray had a embarrassing result against the Packers and are looking to steady the ship and should be in line to do so against a weak Chargers team lead by Justin Herbert who still doesn’t look like his previous self. Can he come back in time? Stay tuned but Kyler Murray and his Cardinals will be coming on top this week. (35-26)
Tirish: (Chargers) As the Chargers prepare to clash with the Cardinals, expect a dazzling showdown featuring two electrifying offenses! Justin Herbert is primed to unleash his cannon arm, while Kyler Murray dances around defenders like a pinball in a game of dodgeball. The Chargers have a knack for explosive plays, and if their defense can tighten the screws against Murray’s scrambling, they’ll have a solid shot. But watch out, Murray’s unpredictability can change the game in a heartbeat! In this high-octane matchup, I’m betting on the Chargers to narrowly take home the victory!
