Congratulations to Hamilton’s Optimist Club essay winners! Your optimism is inspiring!

Three Hamilton High School students won awards in the Optimist Club of Sussex, Lisbon, Lannon and Butler essay contest. This year’s topic was "Optimism: How It Connects Us.”

● Senior Sriya Gannapureddy took first place and $150 prize. Gannapureddy’s essay will advance to the next competition level.

● Junior Zen Nagao took second place and a $100 prize

● Junior Nikita Stacey earned third place and a $50 award

What is Optimist International?

Optimist International spreads optimism to their community. With over 2,500 clubs around the world, it is one of the largest service clubs. Its mission statement is “By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in youth, our communities, and ourselves.” The club holds an essay contest for young students to show their optimism to the world.
