NFL Week Six Predictions

Overall Record: 48-31-1
Chicago Bears (2-3) vs. Washington Commanders ( 1-4)
Commanders. What is with these primetime games being absolutely atrocious? Chicago vs. Washington on Thursday Night? Anyways, the Chicago offense sucks right now, and although Carson Wentz also has not been very good, I think the Commanders are due for a win here after a failed last-minute drive against the Titans. This is one of those games where it's just “somebody’s gotta win right?”
New York Giants (4-1) vs. Baltimore Ravens (3-2)
Ravens. The Giants are coming off a come-from-behind upset win over the Packers in London. Kudos to Brian Daboll and the rest of that staff for changing the culture and bringing juice to a New York team that struggled in years past. Even with all the injuries, New York has been able to get the job done. On the other side, we have the Ravens, who are coming off a win against the Bengals. I think the Ravens can take advantage of a depleted Giants squad, who are just suffering injury after injury.
Indianapolis Colts (2-2-1) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-3)
Jaguars. I’m tired of picking the Colts to win a game they should win against the Jags, and then they end up losing. So this week I’m picking the Jaguars, and hopefully, the Colts don’t decide to wake up this week at home against the team that has given them nightmares in the past.
Cleveland Browns (2-3) vs. New England Patriots (2-3)
Browns. This could be a battle of the backup quarterbacks this week, and I really like Jacoby Brissett’s performance this year. I think the Patriots defense will keep this close after a dominating performance last week, but I think the Browns can bounce back after a tough loss to the Chargers last week.
New Orleans Saints (2-3) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (2-3)
Bengals. The Bengals are coming off a loss at the feet of the best kicker of all time and now travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints. The Saints won a shootout against the Seahawks, which I didn’t expect given the Saints defense, but now are faced with the Bengals. I think the Bengals can bounce back against this Saints team that started Andy Dalton last week.
Pittsburgh Steelers (1-4) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2)
Bucs. Respectfully, the Steelers had no chance to beat the Bills last week, and that should be a game that they just need to move on from. The road to wins doesn’t get any easier this week though, as they take on Brady and the Bucs who escaped with a win after a phantom roughing the passer call. I think the Bucs will pounce to a 4-2 record.
Atlanta Falcons (2-3) vs. San Francisco 49ers (3-2)
49ers. This game might be a little closer than expected. Falcons HC Arthur Smith has this team fighting, and if not for a ridiculous roughing the passer call, they might as well be a winning team right now. The 49ers crushed the Panthers and are starting to look like some of the 49ers teams of the past, and I think they can do enough to beat this Falcons team.
Green Bay Packers (3-2) vs. New York Jets (2-3)
Packers. The Packers are coming off a loss to the Giants where it shouldn’t have been close, but the only point the Packers scored in the second half was an intentional safety with 15 seconds left. The Packers disappeared AGAIN in the second half, and the Giants made them pay. This team is not disciplined enough yet to be a serious contender, and their mentality will be questioned for the rest of this season. That being said, I think they are still good enough to beat the Jets… right?
Miami Dolphins (3-2) vs. Minnesota Vikings (4-1)
Vikings. The Dolphins put up a fight against the Jets last week, a field goal away from having a lead before they missed it and New York blew them out. After Tua’s injury, backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater also got hurt early, which led to rookie Skylar Thompson getting the calls for the rest of the game. The Vikings blew yet another lead against the Bears but were able to hang on and win. I think the Dolphins defense can keep this game close, but the Vikings will find a way to win.
Los Angeles Rams (2-3) vs. Carolina Panthers (1-4)
Rams. The Rams are really struggling right now as Matthew Stafford can’t seem to hit any throws. It probably doesn’t help that he gets instantly sacked every play, though. The Cowboys pass rush took advantage of this last week. Meanwhile, the Panthers still are not good, and they just fired their HC Matt Rhule after a disappointing tenure. I think this game should be a get-right game for the Rams, but if they find a way to lose, major questions will be headed their way.
Seattle Seahawks (2-3) vs. Arizona Cardinals (2-3)
Cardinals. The Seahawks played really well against the Saints defense, but their defense keeps letting up boatloads of points. The Cardinals are coming off a last-minute loss against the Eagles, but I think they can win a shootout against Seattle.
Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) vs. Buffalo Bills (4-1)
Bills. The Bills look like the best team in the NFL right now, but now they face their playoff kryptonite for the past couple of years with the Patrick Mahomes led Chiefs. However, the Chiefs don’t have Tyreek Hill anymore, and the Bills defense is still better than the Chiefs’, even without Micah Hyde. I think the Bills will take their revenge at Arrowhead in what could be a preview of this year's AFC Championship game.
Philadelphia Eagles (5-0) vs. Dallas Cowboys (4-1)
Eagles. Cooper Rush is still undefeated as a starter for the Cowboys, and the Cowboys pass rush is as good as any. A little concerned with Micah Parsons’ injury last week, but Dan Quinn has this defense looking amazing. Now they face the undefeated Eagles, who just escaped with a win over the Cardinals last week. Jalen Hurts looks like an MVP candidate, and the defense has been playing well too. I like the Eagles in a close one.
Los Angeles Chargers (3-2) vs. Denver Broncos ( 2-3)
Chargers. The Broncos offense just looks awful right now, and even though the defense has been playing well, the Broncos offense is averaging 15 points per game. This is not a formula for success, and I think the Chargers can capitalize on that in this competitive division.
