Hamilton Students Participate in Oratorical Competition

On Wednesday, February 26, the Sussex-Lisbon-Lannon-Butler Optimist Club held the annual Oratorical Contest at the Pauline Haass Public Library. This year showed a significant increase in competitors, with 11 students participating. The topic for their speeches was "How Optimism Has Guided Me Through Trying Times."

To compete, students had to write a speech on the topic of optimism and successfully orate for a total of four to five minutes in front of judges and other orators. All participants should be commended for their willingness to participate in this competition.

Winners of the competition were:

1st Place - Disha Deepak

2nd Place - Jessica Cunningham

3rd Place - Sanjay Balaji

Congratulations!
