Hamilton Rugby to State Championship
With their 67-5 beatdown of Stevens Point (watch it here), Hamilton Girls' rugby became the first team outside of CMH and DSHA to advance to the state 15s rugby finals in over a decade.
Hamilton will face DSHA, a team that has won 15 consecutive Midwest championships, 14 state championships, and 7 national championships (including the last one). Despite this, on paper Hamilton might have a better team, but the game isn't played on paper, so we need the Hamilton community to come out, be loud, and support us! Especially since DSHA fans travel really well.
If Hamilton wins on Sunday, Hamilton will be the first team in state history to win both a 15s and 7s title and the first to hold all three of the league's major titles (D1 15s, D1 7s, and D2 7s) concurrently. Essentially we're playing for an opportunity to say we were one of the best teams in the history of the league!
The championship will be played at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex (6000 W Ryan Rd, Franklin, WI 53132) on Sunday, October 30th at 6pm. Admission is $5.
