It’s exam week, and with exams comes stress. But, there are things we can do to ensure we stay mentally healthy in the days and weeks to come.

  1. Set times for breaks: That’s right, taking intentional breaks can actually increase your productivity in the long run. But don’t just scroll your phone, watch something, take a walk, read, anything to refresh your mind. And if you don’t feel like you have enough time for a break, you probably need one.

  2. Make a plan: Ensure you are getting everything done, in a smart way. Make sure you schedule times for breaks, food, and anything else you need to do. Be smart about it; make sure you break tasks down. For instance, if you have a ten-page packet, and a week to do it, do two pages every day for five days.

  3. Work with others: Community is incredibly important to mental health. By working with other people, you can stay better refreshed, awake, alert, and less stressed. Plus, you find some crucial information you may have missed.

  4. Take care of yourself, listen to your body, eat proper meals, and get enough sleep: All of these are important to make sure we don’t lag behind this week, because you can not have proper mental health without physical health to back it up. When you’re hungry, eat what you need, when you’re tired, take a break, make yourself a meal, and do what you need to keep yourself happy and healthy.

  5. Exercise: It’s great. Exercise is vital to reducing stress and heart rate while increasing dopamine. Not to mention, it can be combined with a break, maybe on a walk, and you can do it with others! Exercise is an amazing way to refresh your mind and stay on top of your work this week.

Overall, trust yourself this week. You got this. If you need something, don’t be afraid to ask, or get it yourself. And have a lovely week from us at Charger Press. Good luck!
