Thursday, October 10th
49ers vs Seahawks
Achintya: (Seahawks) This is going to be a great showdown to start off the week. Both teams are coming off losses to teams that they should have handled easily. However, the main issue that still remains for the 49ers is their injuries and their lack of a solid run game. Can Deebo Samuel get back to his best? Will their defense play at the high level which was pretty much a given for them last year? The Seattle Seahawks have only one problem to figure out and that is the defense. Can their defense bail out their high powered offense if it doesn't click? We'll see but expect Geno Smith and Seattle are going to be able to hit the reset button in a big way. (28-21)
Tirish: (49ers) The 49ers-Seahawks showdown on October 10 is shaping up to be a nail-biter! Both teams are coming off tough losses, with the 49ers struggling in the second half against the Cardinals and the Seahawks falling to the Giants despite a strong start to the season. Key players to watch? San Francisco's QB Brock Purdy has been solid, ranking 5th in dropback success, while Seattle's Geno Smith is coming off a 284-yard game. With a close 3-point spread favoring the Niners, this game could go either way, but I think the 49ers come out on top!
Sunday, October 13th
Jaguars vs Bears
Achintya: (Bears) The Jaguars vs Bears is going to be the most boring game in the world. I personally wouldn’t watch this game but back to the predictions. The Jaguars aren’t playing good football at all and, to be honest, firings should be happening soon. Expect a low scoring affair for the both of them but a big showing by the Bears QB Caleb Williams! Their offense really has come to life which should make it bearable for some fans. (28-13)
Tirish: (Bears) The Jaguars vs. Bears game in London promises to be a rollercoaster! On one hand, you've got Trevor Lawrence and the Jags coming off their first win, but let's not ignore their "not-so-fun" defense that’s giving up nearly 29 points per game. On the flip side, the Bears are 3-2, fueled by solid showings at home and looking to bring that momentum overseas. Chicago's offense has young playmakers and might take advantage of Jacksonville's defensive woes.In this clash, the Bears look primed to bring home the win, especially if they keep their offense firing and take advantage of the Jags' shaky defense. Expect London to roar with some big plays from both sides, but the Bears seem like the ones to leave with the W!
Buccaneers vs Saints
Achintya: (Buccaneers) A feisty game between two rivals of the NFC South. This is going to be a must watch game with both teams playing well this season with high powered offenses and serviceable defenses to back them up. Keys for the games will be the play of superstar duo for the Buccaneers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and the rushing attack of New Orleans led by Alvin Kamara. Wow it’s going to be a high scoring affair which is what every NFL fan loves. Expect a win for the Buccaneers but the Saints will make them work for it. (35-31)
Tirish: (Saints) The Buccaneers and Saints are gearing up for an exciting NFC South battle this Sunday, and it's going to be a fight to the finish. Tampa Bay is bringing energy with Baker Mayfield leading the charge, while New Orleans is relying on their defense and Derek Carr’s leadership to hold the fort at home. Both teams are hungry for a win, making it a game packed with tension, big plays, and momentum swings. While the Saints have the home advantage, expect a gritty and close contest. When the dust settles, it looks like New Orleans will edge out a win in front of their home crowd!
Commanders vs Ravens
Achintya: (Ravens) Get ready for a fun showdown between Jayden Daniels and Lamar Jackson. You can make the argument that Daniels is a 2.0 version but that’s a discussion for another time. With Lamar and Derrick Henry coming to town this should be a simple game that should be determined by the run game. However, early favorite for rookie of the year Jayden Daniels will keep it competitive and expect this to be a thrilling match through and through. (35-28)
Tirish: (Ravens) Get ready for a fun showdown this Sunday between the Ravens and Commanders! With Lamar Jackson leading Baltimore’s high-powered offense and Washington’s defense trying to slow things down, this game promises some big-time action. The Commanders have been solid, but the Ravens have that extra spark at home. Expect some flashy plays from Lamar, but don't count Washington out—they're capable of making things interesting.Prediction? The Ravens soar to victory in front of their fans, with a bit of magic from Lamar to seal the deal!
Cardinals vs Packers
Achintya: (Packers) The Packers are finally looking better. After a slow start to the season last Sunday was the perfect step in the right direction. QB Jordan Love is playing outstanding and with admirable courage. Can Josh Jacobs ease some of the workload? Also side note can Xavier Mckinney keep up his record breaking interception pace? Will Kyler Murray be able to put in the performance that happened against the 49ers? Expect a wild one with a high scoring definitely to occur. (42-28)
Tirish: (Packers) The Cardinals and Packers are gearing up for a wild one this Sunday at Lambeau Field. Green Bay, led by Jordan Love, is aiming to keep their winning momentum going, but they’ll need to be sharp against a feisty Arizona squad. The Cardinals, with Kyler Murray under center, have shown they can grind out tough games. While both teams have some injury concerns, the Packers' home-field advantage and more balanced offense should help them pull off the win. Prediction: Green Bay takes this one in a close battle!
Colts vs Titans
Achintya: (Colts) It’s a divisional rival facing each other which seems like a common theme this week. I love a good divisional match and this should be another. Can the Colts with the return of Anthony Richardson come back into the impressive form from last year? Can the Titans find some more stability from QB Will Levis? Expect a heavy run game by both teams with top rbs from both teams Tony Pollard and Johnthan Taylor playing well this year. However, a more balanced side of the Colts should be able to win. (24-18)
Tirish: (Colts) It’s the Colts vs. Titans this week, and this AFC South matchup is shaping up to be a grind! The Colts have had some flashes of brilliance lately but are still trying to shake off some inconsistency. The Titans, meanwhile, have been having their own struggles, but playing at Nissan Stadium could give them a boost. Expect the Colts' offense to rely heavily on their ground game to wear down the Titans' defense, while Tennessee will try to counter with their own rushing attack. Both teams have been a bit unpredictable, but I’m giving this one to the Colts. They’ve got just enough momentum going to edge out a close win in what could be a hard-fought game
Texans vs Patriots
Achintya: (Texans) The Texans have been very fun to watch and that should continue here with the Patriots being the exact opposite. The Patriots are in all sorts of trouble with questions everywhere. Who’s the QB? Who’s at fault for the losses? The Texans are coming off an impressive win against the Bills led by C.J. Stroud and Steffon Diggs and that should continue with a high scoring one sided affair for the Texans. (35-10)
Tirish: (Texans) Get ready for a showdown as the Houston Texans visit the New England Patriots this coming Sunday! With rookie sensation C.J. Stroud leading the Texans' offense, they’re buzzing with confidence, especially after some impressive performances. Meanwhile, the Patriots, though historically formidable, are looking to find their footing this season. Will Bill Belichick's squad pull a classic rabbit out of the hat at Gillette Stadium? Or will the Texans charge in and steal the spotlight? Given their recent momentum and talent, the Texans are favored to take the win here. Expect a spirited clash, but I’m putting my chips on Houston to triumph!
Browns vs Eagles
Achintya: (Eagles) The Eagles led by Jalen Hurts have been playing alright this year but have been plagued by injuries in a big way. However, the Eagles have been fighting hard and haven’t given up yet which is more than what the Browns are doing right now. They are struggling everywhere and giving up already only 5 weeks into the season. Expect a quick and dominant win for the Eagles. (28-7)
Tirish: (Eagles) Get ready for a showdown as the Cleveland Browns take on the Philadelphia Eagles! With the Eagles looking to rebound from a tough loss and the Browns eager to prove they're a serious contender, this matchup is heating up! The Eagles' formidable offense, led by a dynamic quarterback, will challenge the Browns' stout defense. However, the Browns boast a powerful running game that could keep the Eagles' defense on its toes. Expect a close game, but I’m leaning towards the Eagles to edge out the win. They just have that extra spark!
Chargers vs Broncos
Achintya: (Chargers) The Chargers and Broncos are both teams that are looking for a spark to jolt their season. The Chargers led by Justin Hebert look to be the stronger side and should overwhelm the Broncos. The Broncos rookie QB Bo Nix has been playing better which should make the game a little bit more competitive. (31-14)
Tirish: (Chargers) The Chargers and Broncos face off this Sunday, with Los Angeles looking to rebound from a narrow loss to the Chiefs and Denver riding high after snapping an eight-game losing streak against the Raiders. While Justin Herbert aims to overcome protection issues and a struggling run game for the Chargers, rookie quarterback Bo Nix is gaining confidence after a breakout performance. Both teams are eager to establish their offensive rhythms, but the Chargers are favored to narrowly secure the win, thanks to Herbert's experience and skill.
Steelers vs Raiders
Achintya: (Steelers) The Steelers have been playing very well this year and Justin Fields is playing at a level that many people didn’t think he had. The Raiders are spiraling with controversy at QB, WR and the whole team in general. Look for Brock Bowers to lead the way for the Raiders as they try to put up a fight but lose in the end. (28-24)
Tirish: (Steelers) Get ready for a showdown in the desert as the Pittsburgh Steelers roll into Las Vegas to take on the Raiders! With the Steelers boasting a slightly better chance of victory, they'll need their defense to channel their inner steel curtain to contain the Raiders' explosive offense. Meanwhile, Las Vegas will look to outmaneuver Pittsburgh with some trick plays. Expect a nail-biter, but in a tight clash, I predict the Steelers will edge out the Raiders by a whisker! It's going to be a game filled with action, so grab your snacks and get comfy!
Falcons vs Panthers
Achintya: (Falcons) Wow, is Kirk Cousins back! He’s been playing at a level in which I didn’t think was possible. 500 yards! The Falcons are a strong offensive team and should be able to overwhelm a weak Panthers team. Look for Andy Dalton to try his best to put a fight to the high powered division rival Falcons. (28-17)
Tirish: (Falcons) Get ready for a clash of titans as the Atlanta Falcons take on the New England Patriots! The Falcons are soaring high with a revived passing attack, while the Patriots are looking to rebound from some rocky outings. With the Falcons' offense igniting and the Patriots struggling to find their rhythm, this matchup has all the makings of a thrilling contest. Expect fireworks in the air! In the end, the Falcons should swoop in for a win, leaving the Patriots pondering their next moves.
Lions vs Cowboys
Achintya: (Lions) The Lions are coming off a bye week with a great record of 3-1 which is in part to their rushing duo of David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs as well as WR duo Amon Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams. The offense has been clicking all year and should have no problem against the weak Cowboys defense. Dak Prescott will try his best against a tough Lions defense but expect a close game and win for the Lions. (28-23)
Tirish: (Lions) The Lions, coming off a bye week and boasting a 3-1 record, have their eyes on victory with Jared Goff's arm and a balanced offense led by Jahmyr Gibbs. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are riding a 3-2 wave and are eager to bounce back from some early-season inconsistencies. Dak Prescott will look to command the field against a Lions defense that has shown signs of vulnerability. Predictions are leaning towards a close game, but many are feeling a little wild and leaning towards the Lions to sneak away with a 27-23 victory! Who will prevail in this epic battle of the gridiron? Let’s tune in and find out!
Bengals vs Giants
Achintya: (Bengals) Get ready for a fun duo matchup with Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase leading the way for the Bengals and the duo of Daniel Jones and Malik Nabers leading the way for the Giants. Should be a high scoring affair in which both teams' offense should lead the way and put up the most points this week. But expect the Bengals to just be a little bit better. (28-24)
Tirish: (Bengals) Get ready for a fun showdown as the Cincinnati Bengals trot into MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Giants! The Bengals have been strutting their stuff this season, with their dynamic duo of Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase looking to put on a passing clinic. Meanwhile, the Giants are trying to stay competitive but have faced some bumps along the way. With Cincinnati favored to win, they're likely to secure a victory, but don't count out those Giants just yet. Let’s say Bengals by a whisker!
Monday, October 14th
Bills vs Jets
Achintya: (Bills) A fun division rivalry game between the Bills and Jets should be a game to watch as both are coming off games in which they could have won against tough opponents. The Bills led by MVP candidate Josh Allen should have the edge over Aaron Rodgers and his Jets. Expect a high scoring game in which it will be up to the last possession in which the Bills be able to capitalize and win the game! (35-31)
Tirish: (Bills) Get ready for a showdown as the Buffalo Bills roll into MetLife Stadium to face the New York Jets in a clash of AFC East rivals on October 14! Both teams are looking to prove their mettle, with the Bills boasting a powerful offense led by Josh Allen, while the Jets are hoping their revamped squad can put the squeeze on Buffalo’s high-flying attack. The Jets, fueled by their fierce defense, will aim to pressure Allen and capitalize on any mistakes, especially considering the absence of Stefon Diggs. However, the Bills are hungry for revenge after a surprising loss to the Jets last season. With this rivalry heating up, expect a game filled with drama, big hits, and maybe a few heated exchanges! In the end, the Bills are likely to come out on top, but don’t count out the Jets just yet!
Stay tuned for a fun week 6 with lots of division rivalry games!
