On Friday, April 12, Hamilton GSA (Gender and Sexuality Club) students will participate in the National Day of Silence.
For more information on the Day of (No) Silence, please read Charger Press’s coverage of this event in this article, posted last week Friday.
The GLSEN Day of Silence is a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ+ students and allies all around the country—and the world—take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools.
Here at Hamilton, students who choose to participate in this demonstration will have a sticker signifying their participation. Some will be silent all day with no communication, some will choose to communicate via typing or writing things out only, and some will just wear the sticker in support.
To receive a sticker to show your support, stop by the Hamilton Choir Room!
